It's officially Colette's 2 month birthday!
This is one of my favorite pictures of her so far.
Her smiles are very frequent but also very hard to catch on camera.
To celebrate this milestone, we had a well-baby appointment and her very first round of shots. :( Our little trooper did very well and although she did cry and it about broke my heart to have her pricked she settled down with some nursing and has been surprisingly happy for now. This evening might be a different story so bathtime is definitely in the plan! She is currently napping with Nick on the couch and I'm a little jealous - of them both.
Of course we get our snuggle time too.
Little Miss Boggs is little indeed. She falls in the 25th percentile for size and weight! Today she weighs just 9 pounds and is 21.5 inches long but she is proportional and the growth is still right on track. Still, in my arms she feels so big. I've had the pleasure of holding my friend Holli's newborn baby girl, Devyn, and she is just 6lb 3oz. I can't believe that Colette was that small just 8 short weeks ago. I already have that feeling of wanting her to stay tiny but at the same time loving the changes we see everyday and anxiously waiting to know more about her. She fills me up with so much joy, it really is a feeling unlike any other. And not to be too cliche, but it is a love that you didn't know was even possible until you have that little baby in your arms.
I'm going to go now and get in on the great nap happening in the living room.
Thank you Colette, just for being you, that's all we'll ever ask.
