Little Miss Baby Boggs: 9 Months! (on the outside)

On her 9 month birthday, Colette weighed in at 15 pounds 13 ounces and 25.5 inches tall.

Waa Hoo!

You know the best part about the 9-month well-baby doctor visit? No shots! We chatted about sleep (or lack there of) food, skin, teeth, crawling, sitting, clapping and other fun stuff. On all accounts, Colette is doing well. She was all over the little exam table, pulling up at the paper, trying to climb up the sides and scooting all over the place. She did a great job of showing her doctor how active she is, even threw in some giggles and clapping for good measure. My favorite comment from our doc was along the lines of crawling. She said that Colette not crawling is obviously not due to any lack of physical or mental development, but just her preference and baby stubbornness. Hahaha . . .but also uh oh!

We kind of expected a ~~stubborn~~ willful child but already?!?

"Who me? Nah . . "

"What? Do I have something on my face?"

Backing up a bit to the 4th of July . . . our little family had a nice day wandering downtown, eating junk food and watching the parade. We headed home mid-afternoon for a nap and then Colette and I came back to get in some live music and watch a bit of the log rolling competition. Sadly these are the only pictures we have from our day, but rest assured Colette was adorable in her patriotic outfit and she was very serious about taking in all the sights and sounds.

One day that week we decided to zip out to Blind Slough after work and get in a little fishing. Colette and her daddy both look oh so adorable here but I should admit we didn't stay very long. The bugs were out and I didn't want to push Colette's bed time too late. She did think watching daddy fish was pretty cool and I can only imagine how much fun she'll have with him next year when she can touch and play those slimy things, especially when mom's not around. But thanks Nick for the fresh fish, we all loved it!
